About

Established in 1896 to provide care in the community, Nurse Maude continues to focus on the wellbeing of clients and providing high quality care to people where they live. Nurse Maude employs over 1,200 people and makes over 1,000,000 visits a year to provide care. 

Community-based services include home care, district nursing and specialised nursing services including wound care, continence and stomal advice, intravenous therapy, plus the community dietician and diabetes advice.

Our services on-site in Merivale include Specialist Clinics, and a 75 bed Care Home and Hospice. The Nurse Maude health and Mobility Shop and Supply Department also offers equipment and products to help people live well at home.

Support for our clients and their whānau includes bereavement support, a social worker, remembrance services and over 260 volunteers that support our staff in the Hospice and Care Home as well as our retail stores that raise much needed funds to support our work.

Most of our services are offered free of charge to our clients, with donations providing valuable support where needed.

Sub-contracted to provide ACC services (via Access Homehealth) for home support and community Nursing.
