Home Care: The Heart of the Health System – Launch of the HCHA Manifesto

Home care is the beating heart of the health system. When it's under pressure, the whole system feels it. When supported well, it keeps people thriving at home and pressure off the rest of the system. HCHA's Manifesto was based on our workshop and sets out ten practical steps government can take to invest in home and community care, so people, and the whānau who support them, can stay well at home for longer. Illustrated by the amazing Megan Salole from ‘Big Picture Thinking’, the accompanying artwork brings this story to life, from the beating heart at the centre of the health system to the snakes and ladders of prevention versus crisis.
