About

Seniors New Zealand started as AgedAdvisor New Zealand Ltd in 2014 - a single review website for retirement villages and aged care and receives over 5000 in-depth reviews each year, has 10 categories evenly distributed between villages and care, and publicly gives out awards to approximately 50 facilities each year. 

We now have a suite of websites and senior-specific material that we publish. Each can be found under https://www.seniorsnewzealand.co.nz/

Our latest initiatives include virtual assistance for seniors (https://www.senioradvisor.co.nz/home) and looking at technology to better assist seniors within the community. We've recently partnered with a company called People in Place Group and we're helping them pilot PiP software (launched in July 2026) that we believe will enable people to live longer and healthier 'connected' lives in their local community, neighbourhood or a retirement village. We call it "Connected Communities". While the initial pilot is designed for retirement villages, a steering group has already been formed in a faith-based community to look at piloting a Connected Community with seniors and wider community in their area. We are keen to contribute further to the senior and aged care sectors and help at both local and national levels
