Our Vision: Sustainable, equitable, high-quality provision of home and community health services across Aotearoa

Spectrum Care (Provider)

About

Spectrum Care
A life of one’s own – it’s a simple human need.  For many of us, it’s a given. But for thousands of people living with disability, it’s something that can only be achieved with support. Our work is to help identify the unique potential in every one of the people we support, then lend a hand to help them realise it.
Spectrum Care is one of the largest providers of disability support services in Aotearoa. Often, we’re in partnership with people and their whānau for their lifetimes – offering support, guidance and wholehearted optimism with every step. Through each stage of someone’s life, we face the challenges together and empower their capabilities
Spectrum Care is an independent charitable trust that provides support for children, young people and adults with disabilities and their whānau. We offer a wide array of personalised and flexible support options for people of all ages and stages in the Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Wellington regions.
This includes 24-hour residential support, a variety of flexible respite support options,  and specialised Home Support Transitions  and   Aspirations support. Our popular  School Holiday, After school and Weekend programmes  of activities for children are available in Whangārei, Auckland, Hamilton and Wellington. Our Independent Living Support  is specifically focused on empowering people to their lives of choice – lives like any other – in the community, and our Specialist Clinical Team   Specialist Clinical Team supports health, behaviour and speech-language outcomes.
Call us today on 09 634 3790 to find out more about our support options.
How to access Spectrum Care services
Our services are largely funded by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Social Development. In order to access funded services for you or your whānau, you will need to complete a needs assessment. This is facilitated by a Needs Assessment Coordination Service (NASC). Each region has different NASCs. You can find out more about the NASCs in your region, and how to make a referral, at https://www.whaikaha.govt.nz/assessments-and-funding/needs-assessment-services
Once you have completed your Needs Assessment, your NASC will show you the available support options, and make a referral for the services you choose.
